I guess you can say WUT Wednesdays are back for the time being. I had three or five songs to post individually so I figured why not just let them all out together so I can go to bed early tonight. Win, win. Our first cut is from none other than CRNKN. Our pal has been very busy the past month or so, earning features and mixtape nods left and right and we’re super proud of all he’s done. His latest joint is a remix off Alesia’s brand new EP “Nouvel Humour”. This is gorgeous, gorgeous music. Our next one comes to us from upcomer B.Dolla. He tore up the Internet with his Justin Timberlake and Juicy J edits and he’s taken a turn for the classics here as he takes on Ruff Ryders’s own “Down Bottom”. The production skills this kid shows is incredible, which is probably why this was co-signed by Swizz Beats in less than two days! We’ll wash that one down with the newest from Bird Peterson. He’s well-known around the blogosphere for his insane trap remixes, and his most recent is no different. In a world filled with hundreds (seriously) of trapped out “Clique” remixes, his Drankenstein edit stands out in a league of its own for its unique sound and style. “Jah No Partial” is the newest single from Major Lazer and it’s already picked up its fair share of tributes. However, none can even compare to this one by Yellow Claw & Yung Felix. If you remember these fellas correctly, they were the ones who provided that sick nasty Gotye mixes a couple months back and took over my iTunes. They’ve had a few in between but none compare to this insanity. To finish the week off, I’ve got a fresh original collaboration from two of my favorite producers from back home. Ace Future, a trap mastermind, teams up with drum ‘n’ bass tunemonger Rankin for this cool smorgasbord of subgenres. Enjoy them all!
