Saturday Night Fever 6/16

Back at it again after the nice weekend off, and here again to give you the freshest in disco & funk. Let’s go biggest to small this week. First up, we’ve got the newest disco-inspired mashup album from my boys over at Ridgewood Social Club. It’s five solid tracks insured to keep any party bouncing featuring samples like TJR, Boys Noize, and Afrika Bambaataa. We’ll follow that up with a new mix by Treasure Fingers. In about fifty minutes, he takes all the classic disco and funk favorites and mixes them together nearly seamlessly. Wash that one down with a fresh Foster the People remix from Kreap. This is what this segment is all about: bringing together the old and the new. The Magician makes a triumphant return to the segment with his recent collab alongside Yuksek. And to finish the week off, we’ve got the first single from Poolside’s upcoming debut album “Pacific Standard Time”. The song, titled “Slow Down”, is perfect for those long summer days outdoors. In actually though, this could have easily fit into tomorrow’s lineup as well.
