Just got a hat tip from my buddy Ricky Cervantes and this could be huge. The city of Miami has just passed a resolution barring the two weekend Ultra Music Festival later this March. The citizens and politicians think of the massive EDM event as a disruption to everyday business and residential living and basically orders that the park not be used for the second weekend of the festival. I understand where the city is coming from on this. It’s a traffic nightmare, you’ve got drug violations running around in miniskirts, and it disturbs your citizens. However, UMF is an absolute cash cow and should provide wonders for the Miami economy with a second weekend. Also, it’s Miami for God’s sake. If you didn’t want to live the party life, move to Tampa

The citizens don’t think of this as disruptive to local business… Local businesses that benefits from 2 weekends of 150,000+ in the area don’t think of this as disruptive to local business. Politicians who didn’t get their cut think of this as disruptive to local business.

    Except it wasn’t passed, so there’s that…
